conf2010-medium.jpgHeld on Thursday 24th June 2010 at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol

Titled ‘Balancing Care’ the day looked at the challenges affecting managers under the Putting People First agenda.

The day provided essential information on the issues, policies and learning required to ensure that you deliver a truly personalised service.

The conference was split into two parts. The morning concentrated on the changes affecting social care and what issues that you need to be thinking about in the future delivery of social care and how this will affect both your business and workforce planning, now and in the future. A workshop focused on some tools available to help you with planning.

The second part in the afternoon looked at the changes to qualifications. NVQs will end this year and the new QCF - Qualifications Credit Framework will be in place. What does this mean to you and your staff and what do you need to know to prepare for these important changes. We also looked at how new qualifications can affect recruitment and retention.

Keynote Speaker: Nadra Ahmed OBE.
